Emily Fernandez
Voice and Movement Instructor, Young Company

Emily Fernandez (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based actor, writer and teaching artist. Since graduating from the University of the Arts, where she earned her BFA in Acting/minor in Musical Theatre, she has worked with Power Street Theatre Company, Theatre Horizon, EgoPo, Quintessence Theatre Group, Arden Theatre Company and Pig Iron Theatre Company. She conceived her solo show The Art of Losing alongside Christine Freije and Han van Sciver and has been a part of numerous devised works throughout her 10 years in Philly. Ask her about her dog, Maggie, & the time she sang at the Great Wall of China.

Emily is warm, witty and wild. Her classes will encourage a full body & voice connection, offering students the opportunity to connect with all parts of their creative instrument.
