Seeking candidates for the 2026 Apprentice Company
Apprentices are current students in the West Chester University Department of Theatre + Dance. Ideal apprentice candidates are curious about arts education, and embrace this summer opportunity as both a paid job as well as a learning opportunity to grow as a theatre artist and educator. Ideal candidates have some experience working with young people and are great team players.
YOUNG COMPANY APPRENTICES:
Must be available July 6 - July 31, 2026, Monday - Friday. Must have reliable transportation to the EO Bull Center. Salary is $525/week, paid on a W2 (ie: before taxes). This job works with young people between the ages of 8-14, helping them grow and learn in the classroom, serving as assistants to our lead teaching staff, and assisting with technical production responsibilities for their short original plays. Hours are 8:30am - 4:25ish pm. Additional stipend available for those willing to work before-care or after-care.
Staff training days will be held on 7/1 + 7/2. This job does NOT provide housing or meals.
PRE-COLLEGE APPRENTICES: Must be available June 17 - June 28, 2026, inclusive of the weekend. Housing and meals provided. Salary is $1250 stipend, paid on a W2 (ie: before taxes). This job works with high school students, asking apprentices to serve as RA’s, production assistants, and mentors to young people curious about the study of theatre in college. Because this is an overnight camp, working hours range depending on program needs (breaks scheduled throughout day).
